Down & Connor Apostolic Work Society |
A branch of the Apostolic Work Society was established in the Parish of Ramoan (Ballycastle) in July 1954.
The aim of the Apostolic Work Society is to share in the missionary apostolate of the Church by means of prayer and by supplying material and financial resources to the Church in the developing world.
The local Society holds meetings in the crypt of St Patrick's and St Brigid's Church, Ballycastle. Members raise funds in the form of: church collections, honorary members’ subscriptions and an annual Christmas ballot at the parish Bingo. Our annual collections over the years average about £1350-00, which is sent to the Society's diocesan headquarters in Belfast every December, for the benefit of missionaries all over the world.
Any parishioner wishing to get involved in this valuable work for the Church can contact Mrs Kathleen McCook (07514252583).
