(Self help, self support bereavement group). The Cuan Group is an inter-denominational, cross community group which meets at 7.3o pm on the second Monday of each month in the Corrymeela Centre, Drumaroan Road, Ballycastle.
The group was formed on Monday 8th February 1999 to meet the need for an understanding, caring group to provide support through the grief and loneliness of bereavement, with an informal, friendly caring setting. It is organised and facilitated by a group of people with a range of counselling skills and experience, and personal experience of bereavement; and provides opportunity for mutual support, relevant discussion, advice, information, counselling and social activities. The aim of the group is to provide a safe base of mutual support through the grieving process, where people can connect with each other, share and understand grief experiences in a self help, self support environment and ongoing mutually supportive e network. Membership is open to anyone who has been bereaved or suffered loss. Confidentiality is respected. There will be a warm welcome for anyone wishing to come to the Cuan Group meeting in the Corrymeela Centre, Ballycastle on 2nd Monday of each month.
