SureStart began in Ballycastle in 2004 to help give parents and their families the best possible start in life. SureStart is a national programme designed to provide better co-ordinated support for families and children.  It is interested in quality care and play for a holistic development of our children. Who is it for? What can it offer?

Who is it for?  - Local families with children or child 0-4 years of age.

What can it offer? -

Sunbeams crèche, from 10am-12noon, Thursday and Fridays

Toy and Book library service

Young Parent Groups

Family visiting to give support at home

Playing Together – mornings of fun and play for you and your wee ones

Transport to get to activities

Bookstart Plus – learning to love books with our free pack

Healthy activities such as: swimming, walking and the gym

Baby massage and baby yoga

Breastfeeding support

Smoking cessation support

Free home safety equipment + advice on home safety awareness

Dental advice and speech and language support

SureStart for men – we provide opportunities for fathers too

The office is up Leyland Road, Ballycastle, and opens Monday – Friday at 9.30am.
